Today mom and I went to the grocery store and filled our cart with yummy fresh veggies and fruits. It was a baby food making day! First we got the sweet potatoes in the oven, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and chicken cooking on the stove. While all of that was getting good and soft I was working on the fresh fruit purees. I made peach-banana-strawberry. Then blueberry-banana-strawberry. Last we whipped together peach-banana-grape. Once the veggies were done we mixed broccoli and chicken, carrots and chicken, and avocado and chicken. Then we made some singles of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and sweet potatoes. All of this will stay good for 6 weeks...and I think we are set until then! We had a great time making it all, and it was such beautiful rich colors.
Now, it wasn't all smooth sailing. I did forget to take the spoon out of the blender at one point, thus resulting in a HUGE mess and a dumped over tray of cauliflower that fell right on top of the wiener dog! We needed a good laugh. Right after we got her hosed off in the backyard, we came in and dropped the pan lid... glass EVERYWHERE! Those were our only two glitches :) Overall, successful day! I'm so glad mom and I got so much accomplished.
When Kale got home we had a healthy dinner of waffles and ice cream sundaes for dinner! Great ending to a hard day at work.

I posted this the other day on facebook and had to share it on here. I had the boys outside for our morning playtime and caught Fletcher on camera in his "all the toys are mine" glory. Enjoy!
Gathering his toys..
One last picture... Rony is NOT a morning person :)
