Mexican Night

Yesterday afternoon Pops came over and helped Kale finish putting together the men's new play set. They got to try out their new caterpillar swing after bath time last night. Both boys fell asleep while swinging! They LOVE it!!
Tonight we had taco salad for dinner so I processed the boys some beans and avocado. They love beans! Unfortunately, they made a HUGE mess of dinner. I guess it was just too yummy. Fletcher was much messier than Rooster.
"Seriously, another picture?!"
Most of his food was gone and I guess he was full! Here is him telling me that he was full!

I love nights like this. Two messy, silly, sweet, boys. Couldn't be any better! Have a great week everyone.

Housework Helpers

Tonight Kale was helping me out with vacuuming while I was doing dishes. The men were also helping me in the kitchen. I noticed that I was all by my lonesome and went to check where the duo had traveled off to. I found them following their Daddy around, amazed by the vacuum. It was the cutest thing ever. Everywhere he went, they followed. I caught the tail-end of it on video.
Turn down the volume, the vacuum is loud

Back to Reality!

Today was my first day of second grade, for the sixth time! It was a busy day... as usual! the first 45 minutes are the hardest. You know, when you have 23 kids following you around, shoving glue, crayons and kleenex in your face. As you repeat for the 53rd time, "Put two glue sticks in your crayon box and the kleenex at the front of the room." All while wearing a ginormous smile on your face and wishing that you had had time to eat breakfast or at least chug that glass of Carnation Instant breakfast you poured and left on the kitchen counter in your mad dash out the door. Once 9 o'clock hits, it is manageable chaos for the rest of the day! I have a good group of kiddos this year. I'm excited to get to know them more in the coming weeks. Every year is a new adventure!
First day of school picture. Kale makes me take one every year.
This year I have tears in my eyes!
I had to stay after school for a little bit to try and find space for my massive amounts of germ-x and baggie boxes, but once those were shoved away I was out of there and off to see my boys! I missed them so much! I do have to be honest and say that once the day got started I was so busy that I didn't have time to sit and pout about not being home. I did cry a tiny bit this morning when leaving. Anderson was up nice and early. We had about 30 minutes of playtime together before I had to go. Fletcher, however, was still sleeping... and that was the hard part. I wanted so badly to wake him up this morning and play and love on him, but I didn't. It would have been so much easier if I could have left him awake. I sat in the driveway for about 10 minutes and sent Kale in three times to check and see if he was awake yet! I finally sucked it up and started my journey to work. The boys had a good day today. I am so thankful for that. They are such happy little men. Couldn't be luckier!!

Kale came home early to be with us this evening. That was a wonderful surprise. To top it off he came with flowers! Always so nice after a LOOOONG day. Once again, couldn't be luckier!

We went to Target and then out to dinner. Once we got home we plopped the men in their wagon and went for a short ride before bedtime. It was so nice out with a wonderful breeze. A family walk is always a perfect ending to a busy, but good day.

Today wasn't too bad. I guess I'll go back tomorrow!
Goodnight everyone :)

9 Month Pics!

Our computer is a dead... like won't even turn on! Thankfully, Sarah is here and we can borrow her computer while we frantically search for a replacement. Until then blogs will be delayed :( I wanted to get up 9 month pictures before it was already time to post 10 months! We think they turned out SO cute.
Enjoy!

Hubby and Bestie and Birthdays

This week has been a terrific birthday week! Not mine, but my best friend Kelsie's and Kale's. Kels had her bday on Sunday and Kale's is TODAY!

This past weekend we took the motorcycle down to Little Rock for a tiny getaway. While down there we went to Kelsie's birthday/going away party. She is moving to Nashville with her boyfriend Will. The party was great. I got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen since college and we had the treat of hearing Will sing. He was our entertainment for the evening... and boy was he great! Kale and I had also had a great time shopping, eating sushi (not something we get to do with the boys often) and sleeping in!!! The sleeping may have been one of the best parts! Great trip to Little Rock. It was hot on the bike, but totally worth it :) I am going to miss my Kelsie so much, but I am so happy that she has found such an amazing man.

Mmmmm.... sushi!

The man himself... Mr. William Churchhill
Not a party without cupcakes :)
Peaceful Peabody duck (kinda looks evil with the red eye!)
Today for Kale's birthday we woke him up with his presents and ginormous dirt cake. His favorite candy is sour gummy worms so I thought a dirt cake was just perfect for him. It was so yummy, and a great breakfast food for the boys! After breakfast Kale went and got a haircut and massage while I stayed home and let the little men nap. Once daddy returned, trimmed up and refreshed!, we headed to Pig Trail Harley-Davidson. It was like magic... I swear, the boys smiled the entire time we were in there! One of Kale's presents was movie tickets to see Cowboys vs Aliens. We dropped the boys off and Mom watched them while we went to the movies... There's nothing like sweaty cowboys and slimy aliens to bring on the romantic ambiance! After the movies we all headed out for pizza with the whole family. I think it was a great birthday for the Mr.

Thanks to all of you who commented on facebook to tell Kale Happy Birthday! I was sure to pass it along to him!
