Leap Day and Other "Stuff"

Happy Leap Day everyone! I just wanted to take a minute to make everyone gag at my disgusting comments about how happy I am to have one extra day with my love, that would be Kale!, and my wonderful boys. I feel so very blessed. We are so thankful for our family and friends. Here's to a super great extra day in 2012!

Rooster update:
Roo is starting to take more interest in eating and not just drinking Pediasure. He is sleeping all night and taking his naps again! He can lay down without any signs of obvious pain. No fever, and MUCH less fussy! He is not back to his crazy little self just yet, but we are defiantly on the right track. We appreciate all of the prayers... keep them coming!

In other news:
So, have you ever had a smell in your house and you just can't find where it is coming from? Well, that was this Farmer house today. We checked the cat box, trash, bathrooms, fridge, laundry room, floors were mopped yesterday and Monday, but yet there was still a "smell." Then I thought to my self, "Self, I wonder if there is anything in the dishwasher?" I opened that bad boy and nearly died! Holy cow, apparently I had loaded it with a few things over the weekend and put a soap thingy in it, but never pushed start. I have been hand washing most things this week and haven't needed to use it so I didn't realize it was full, and dirty! Let's just say after Lysol and candles things are better, oh, and the dishwasher is running as we speak!

Here is our new way to grocery shop! Pretty comfy says Fletchman :)
Have a good Thursday everyone. Friday is Dr. Seuss' birthday! Green eggs and ham are on the menu for dinner :)

Yucky Ears...

Anderson started to feel crummy this weekend. We thought he had just caught the cold Fletch went to the doctor for last Tuesday! F-Mac just couldn't shake a bad cough so we decided to take him to be checked out. If you know Kale and I well, we don't jump to the doctor too quickly. We are more "wait it out and see how they do" parents. We knew it was time to take Rooster to the doc when all 26lbs 13oz of the kid wouldn't take a nibble at his food. That was a big sign he was really sick, so we made an appointment for this afternoon. After bedtime last night I didn't think we were going to make it until this afternoon. In fact, last night was horrible. He screamed and tossed and turned all night long. I had a feeling it had to be his ears the way he couldn't lay on them. He kept falling asleep sitting up.

The doc took one QUICK look in his ears, after a battle to even get close to them, and confirmed what we were afraid of... double ear infections. What can I say, the kid knows how to do things all the way the first time! Meds are on their way home with daddy, and until then he is just chilling, reading books, and drinking smoothies. I am praying for good sleep for all of us tonight and that baby Roo will be feeling grand soon.

Mt. Magazine

This past weekend we went to Mt. Magazine with Lolly, Pop, Uncle Jake, and Mamie. We had a wonderful time exploring the lodge, eating yummy food, swimming, and hiking. It was a perfect weekend getaway!

We even went to the nature center and did a little bird watching in the rocking chairs.
The boys, including Kale, had a wonderful time swimming in the amazingly warm pool!
Lolly and Pop let the men stay the night in their room Saturday night. When they awoke on Sunday they did a little exploring before we made it down to their room to get them ready for the day.
Sunday morning we took the short hike up to the tallest point in Arkansas. It was a great hike and PERFECT weather. The boys slept the entire way up and down the mountain!
Thanks for checking in everyone! Hope you all have a lovely week. We will leave you with a few Mardi Gras pictures. We are pretty wild here at the Farmer household!

Girl Crazy!

Today we went out and about as a family. Our day started off super spectacular with a 7 am wake up call, followed by blueberry pancakes at 8, a nap at 9 and then snoozing until 11:30!!! Once we all decided to shake off the sleepies we loaded up and headed to the mall. I hate to admit it, but we bought the boys their first pair of skinny jeans today. I couldn't resist... they look absolutely adorable. I'd post a picture but they are in the wash. The men are going to sport them at church tomorrow.
It just happened to be the Razorback baseball team's signing fiasco. We didn't care much about the players, but we did flag down a group of cheerleaders! They were so sweet and cute with the boys. We called one over, and then three more followed. What can I say, the boys are babe magnets :)
This shall be framed in their room. Right beside the one with the Hooters Girls... that happened while I was at an in-service, and the boys went with daddy to the Harley shop! Boys will be boys!
Overall it was a fantastic Saturday. To end it we are about to snuggle up and watch a movie. The boys are pretty excited about football tomorrow (all three), need to rest up for the big game. Have a good night everyone.

"Jesus"

Tonight Kale was reading our Bible story while the boys were drinking their bedtime cups of milk. Rooster took the book away and started pointing to the pictures of Jesus. So cute! Have a good night everyone. Tomorrow we have our 15 month shots. I'll post updated stats tomorrow!
