Father's Day Tribute

Today is Father's Day so I thought I'd write up a little Daddy love tribute.
Kale,
Thank you for being the most amazing daddy to our little men.  You always greet them with a smile and a loving embrace.  They light up when you walk in the room.  You are their biggest hero.  I couldn't ask for anyone better to help me raise our boys.  Thank you for being so patient and quick to help. Without a doubt you are one of the most "hands on" dads I've ever known.  We can always count on you to be down on the floor playing and never to busy for us.  You live your life with God as your guide and lead your family with that as the focus.  The boys and I are so lucky to have you.  We are honored to call you Daddy.

Dad,
Even though we have spent most of my life 600 miles apart, you have managed to always be there for me when I've needed you the most.  I love your straight forward talks and the way that you can make me laugh when I think it is all falling apart.  Thank you for making me so proud to be a blue eyed, curly haired Cook.  I know that my tender heart and compassion for others is a trait that was passed down from you.  I also attribute my straight talk and ability to make friends, or strike up a conversation with just about anyone comes from you too!  I love you dad, thank you for keeping me and giving the daughter thing a shot!  We all know that you REALLY wanted that Stephen Michael, but had to settle for Stephanie Michelle.  Hopefully Fletcher and Anderson kinda made up for that!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Summer Fun

Today we had our first official summer play-date.  We went with Asher and his mommy to the splash pad in downtown Bentonville.  The boys had a great time.  They were a little hesitant at first, but we found a smaller puddle and water spout to play at and they had lots of fun.  Fletcher loves running into the water and Anderson is not so sure about it.  He would rather chase me around in the puddles!
"Hey, Baby... come"
Godzilla...
Asher and Anderson checking it out.
That darn water spout!
Juice break!  They are SO big!
Cracker break!
After splashing we came back home and played in the sprinkler for a little bit.
Then we headed inside to get changed and chow down on lunch.  The men had a good time showing their toys to Asher.  Asher had an even better time chasing the kitty cat!
Fixing the lawnmower.
Firefighter Fletch!
It was a great day.  I can't wait until next week... the Aquatic Center :)

Last night the boys helped Kale pull the motorcycle in.  Here is a picture from last year around this time and then last night.

Have a super weekend.

Good Morning

Anderson woke up before his baby this morning.  He was elated when he heard him fussing and ready to get out of his bed.  He took off running across the house to go get him.
I hope every one has a wonderful Saturday.  I'm sure it will be full of fun here at the Farmer house!

Papaw's update: Summer Check-List

Papaw,
We are learning how to do all kinds of "boy" things this summer.

We can successfully drink from the water hose.

We can protest nap time.

 We can drive our gator.

We can dig in the dirt and catch crawdads.

We can run around like crazy people in the yard.

We can help Daddy fix things.

We can drum and make noisy music.

We can play and watch baseball... but still aren't too sure about Strike!

We can mow the lawn.

We can hit things with sticks.

We can play so hard we collapse!

We have "no girls allowed" time.

But... we need Papaw to come visit us soon so that we can ride on a lawn mower again.

We miss you Papaw and can't wait to see you in JULY!

-Love,
Fletcher & Anderson
