Happy Birthday Boys!

Yesterday was Fletcher and Anderson's first birthday! We had a big John Deere birthday blowout. It was an amazing day full of family, friends and FUN. The boys did great and loved every minute of their party. It has taken me so long to write this blog because I honestly just don't know where to start. So, they say a picture is worth a thousand words... let's just say we will have a lot of pictures to help me out here!

Let's begin with Friday and Saturday. Friday evening my Dad, Stepmom, and Mamaw came up from Texas. It was the first trip Mamaw has made to Arakansas since our wedding. She had never seen our house that we bought 4 years ago. I was so happy she could see where we lived! We took a short trip out to Gravette and I showed her around my classroom. She seemed to really enjoy walking and looking around the school. Dad and Missy were big helps in birthday preparation Saturday night, and the boys LOVED seeing all of them.

Sunday was birthday day! We awoke bright and early and headed off to church.

When we got home we had bday cinnamon rolls and oatmeal. Then the men went down for a good ol' birthday nap and we finished up with food preparation and table decorating. I was SO pleased with how everything turned out. It was just how I had imagined it.

We had a great turn out. Including kiddos, we had a total of 47 guests!

It was so loud when everyone was singing happy birthday they covered their ears!!

Our house was full of so much love for the men. It was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so generous with the gifts that they brought. The boys love all of their new toys, clothes, and books! Thanks to EVERYONE!!!

After the party we spent the evening playing with new toys and spending quality time with our Texas company. Everyone was exhausted and headed off to bed at a pretty early time. It was a BIG day for the birthday boys... and momma... and daddy!

This morning we woke up and sent off Dad, Missy, and Mamaw. I hated to see them go, but am holding on to our Thanksgiving trip down to Texas in about 4 weeks! The four of us then quickly got ready and headed to our 1 yr. pictures! They turned out great. The boys looked so grown up. (I will post the link when I get it tomorrow!) After pictures we went to lunch with Lolly and then headed over to the clinic for our check up and shots. The stats for the big 1 year olds are: A, 24 lb 9 oz and 30.75" with 10 teeth, including two molars and F, 23 lbs 6 oz and 30.5" with 7 teeth! Big and healthy. Then it was off to the house for a LOOOONG nap!

And here we sit, happy, and playing with our toys. It was the best birthday weekend ever. I am so lucky to have these boys in my life. I love them sooooo much. I can't even imagine what it would be like without them. I love they way they are so inquisitive and fearless. They definitely keep us on our toes. I am excited to see what the next year will bring!

Thanks for checking in with us. Have a great week.

Two Weeks!

We only have two weeks left and we will be ONE! CAN"T believe it :) I'm so excited to have the little men's birthday party. I can't express how extremely happy and thankful I am to be a mommy of twin toddlers :). We finished up two of our crafts for the party last night, while watching the Hogs game of course!
Birthday Wreath...
Party Hats....
Just a few things left on the list.
Today's task: figure out Halloween costumes. Let me know if anyone has any great ideas. Our time is tickin'. I've scheduled pictures for Friday... still no costumes. I am drawing a blank!

Enjoy this beautiful Sunday everyone! Football is on... gotta love Fall.

Paintin' Pumpkins and Ghostly Toes

Tonight we got the Halloween totes out of the attic and begin to decorate the house. We did a little here and there, but I didn't want to do too much and have to take it down to decorate for the big birthday bash, so we just did a few things.

We had Tonka, Ben, Uncle Jake, Lolly, and Pop over for dinner. Kale made delicious sandwiches and we also had warm yummy chocolate chip cookies. Mmmmm :) It was so nice to relax and have some good quality family time.

After dinner we decorated pumpkins. The boys had a blast with the paint. I thought they did an exceptional job. My little Picassos!
I also made foot ghosts to hang on the mantle. These also turned out pretty darling :)
Happy Fall everyone! Enjoy

Welcome to the SEC

This weekend we drove to Dallas for the Arkansas vs. A&M game.
It was a busy weekend. Going, going, going! We had so much fun though. It was the first time that Kale and I were away from the boys for more than one night. We did get a little anxious to get home after the game was over last night, but we sure did enjoy laying in bed and watching tv... you know, being lazy!
Behind :(
Ahead :)
That's right. We gave A&M a nice warm welcome to the SEC.
It was perfect. We had a great time hanging out with my cousin Jeff and his Aggie friends. It was hard to be humble, but we managed :)
After the game we went to IKEA and we spent about an hour and a half wandering through a two story Babies/Toys R US! It was fantastic.

While we were out on our mini vacation, mom stayed at our house with the men. I don't think they missed us at all. They had such fun playing with Tonka, Aunt Abby, Uncle Ben, and Uncle Sam. Teenagers are very entertaining.

Swinging with Gma and Sambo
They had a Rock Band session.
Learning Hop Scotch with Sam and Abby
Dog pile!
Bubbles anyone?
Noodles! Yummy :)
The boys and the parents had a great weekend. Thanks mom for watching the men for us. Can't wait to do it again next year! Have a great week everyone.
