Last weekend we took off to the zoo. It was a beautiful day, 60's, and a little overcast. The rain held off until we were on our way home. The zoo wasn't crowded at all and we got there right after they had fed the animals. They were all out walking around and sounding off. It was wonderful! The boys had a great time. They had been asking to go all week and were SO excited to finally get there.
My chimps!
The tortoises were eating their breakfast. One of them is 130 years old! I think the tortoises were one of the favorites of the day. The boys still talk about how they burped when the were eating.
Turtle riding!
While we were looking at the monkeys, our smallest one need to chow down! It was a nice spot to stop and feed. Rosie and I hung around and watched the chimps chasing one another while the boys and Tonka took off to see the giraffes.
Beautiful baby!
The penguins were waiting to be fed. Only one was swimming around in the water. He was a friendly guy though. He kept swimming right up to the glass..
The boys are the size of an Emperor penguin. That would be kind of creepy to see one that big.
Flamingos were a hit as usual. The men practiced standing like them.
Even Daddy practiced being a flamingo.
Then we rode the train.
Fletch was holding Kale's hand. So sweet!
Daddy and his boy.
Tonka and Roo!
Then we had some play time at the playground.
Love this picture!
Next stop, petting zoo.
Goat love
We hadn't left the parking lot before Fletch was out!
Rooster hung on a little longer, but not by much.
Great trip to the zoo. Rosie had a great time for only being two weeks old and it was nice for me to get out and walk around in the fresh air. Can't wait to go back this Spring!
