Last Sunday we went to downtown Fayetteville and enjoyed the lighting of the square. The boys loved looking at all of the beautiful lights. The weather was perfect, cool but not cold! Everything was so beautiful. No wonder this is my FAVORITE time of the year!
Now that the men are big one year old's, I like to give them every opportunity I can to soak in new experiences and engage all of their senses. We have started taking weekly field trips with Miss Jessica, our nanny, and Tonka. Mom's new job has her on call weekends so she comes one day a week to spend some time with the boys. Last week the ladies took the men to the Toddler Time at the Bentonville library. The boys LOVE books and had a great time playing with all of the other toddlers. They read stories and did songs with movements. Then they brought out toys and books and gave the kiddos time to play with one another. I forgot to leave my camera, but here are a few pictures Miss Jessica took with her phone. The boys had a great time.
Toddler time at the library.
This week the men went to Chuck E Cheese and then out to lunch at Taco Bell. They had a wonderful time! Mom said that for most of the time, they were the only ones at CEC. This was great, open range to all the games!
Classic "Animals in a Cage" picture! Suck in those germs Fletch!!
The boys got about 200 tickets! They chose a balloon as their prize. Great choice! They LOVE balloons.
Yummy Taco Bell
Tuckered Out!
Thanks Tonka and Miss Jessica for loving my boys and taking such good care of them. I was so happy today thinking about all the fun they were having and how much they were learning.
This has been a BUSY weekend. On Friday night we went to dinner in Fayetteville and walked around the mall.
Saturday we started Christmas shopping and went to our friend Carrie's house to watch the Razorback game. The boys had so much fun at her house. Anderson found himself a new girl friend, and Fletch had a blast sticking his tongue out at her EVERY time she looked at him! It was so silly :)
This morning we went to church, we managed to be ten minutes late, but at least we were there! Anderson sat with Harriet this morning. He managed to pull off her glasses and rip out her earring. He was also as wiggly as a worm. Thank you Harriet for being so kind, patient, and loving to my little men. Fletcher sat with us this morning because Ms. Jenny wan't feeling well. Get better soon Jenny :) That was probably a good thing because he was JUST as wiggly! He has an added trick of loudly blowing kisses to all of the people that looked at him. After church we came home to eat BBQ, which the boys devoured, and then took a huge family nap. I guess we were all recovering from our fun filled Saturday. Then it was off for a walk and to soak up the beautiful weather.
We went out to Bella Vista and took a walk around the lake. It was absolutely perfect outside today. The boys had a good time watching the ducks and geese. They also enjoyed seeing all of the dogs that were out for walks.
We took time to go through the Veterans Wall of Honor. I gave the boys their fist Veteran's Day lesson. They politely listened. We found Kale's grandfather's name on the wall, and that was very special to see.
Overall, it was a remarkable Sunday. The kind I like the best; relaxing and family filled.
Fletcher learned how to blow bubbles while on the way home from the lake. Here is a short video of the new talent!!
Usually I am the one who has the Christmas tree totes out of the attic waiting to be torn into at midnight, November 1st. However, this year it took me ten more days than usual. Regardless, trees are up! Well, at least two of them. The rest of the decor, will wait until Thanksgiving. Kale and I have a tradition that we dress up in "winter gear" to decorate, while watching Elf. He sports his winter vest and hat, while I wear my scarf and hat. The boys joined in this year with their hats as well. A little fun in all the chaos of totes and glitter!
The boys had a great time helping to put the trees together. They loved climbing in the boxes and handing things to us. Bedtime is seven, so they had to be put in their beds before ornament time, but they at least got to help with lights! Here are just a few pictures of our fun family night. We will get more when we decorate the tree for their room.
We were playing in the playroom while dinner was cooking; the boys were having a grand time on their slide. Here are some pictures and a quick video to document the fun!
