18 Months

The men turned 18 months this past week.  It is hard to believe that time has passed so quickly.  What is even more amazing is how much the guys have learned in only 18 short months.  They talk ALL THE TIME.

Anderson loves to color and read books.  He will bring book after book after book to you, plop on your lap and ask you to "read book now?" to him.  He also loves to swing.  That boy would swing all day if you let him. He loves to yell, "swing BIG!"  Rooster eats everything and lots of it.  He loves bananas and pb crackers.  Those are probably his favorites.

Fletcher loves to "mow" the yard with his bubble blowing lawnmower.  He also likes chilling and watching Blues Clues.  He is a little talker just like his bro.  Fletch often yells, "Football, Razorbacks!" at the sight of anything sports related.  He also likes to imitate tractor, truck, motorcycle, and car sounds.  ALL boy!  Milk is his drink of choice and he too is a banana chowing boy.  Fletcher is full of character.  His is so goofy.

They both love all kinds of balls... footballs, soccer balls, baseballs, etc.

Both men are wearing 2T shirts and 18-24 month shorts.  They have huge feet, size 7!  We still nap twice a day; however, the morning nap is a must and the afternoon can be pushed aside if we are out and about.  They are staying up a little later, 8ish.  This is nice because they like to play outside every night until we have to tote them in over our shoulders for bath time.  We couldn't be luckier.  They are starting to use a fork to eat.  This past weekend all food had to be on THEIR fork.  We still stab it for them, but they can put it in their mouths.
Hard to believe they were so tiny!

Here are a few pictures I took this morning after church.  Happy18th Months boys!

Earth Day and the weekend

This past weekend was a fantastic one for the Farmer crew. Friday night Kale took me to see Mary Poppins at the Walton Arts Center. It was phenomenal! I smiled the entire performance. The music, dancing, and acting was unbelievable. We had such a great time. It didn't get over until 11 so mom watched the men overnight! Hats off to Tonka :)
Saturday marked one year that my Papaw has been gone. I decided to fill the day with happy thoughts of him and talked about him every time I thought about something special he did for me in my life. Let's just say there was a lot of "Papaw" talk! We started the day off by getting the boys donut holes when we went to get them from Tonka's house. Pa always would take me to get donut holes... even two or three bags at one time. The boys loved them and it made me happy to share this little memory with them. I called Mamaw Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and we talked for a good amount of time each night. I can only pray that Kale and I can have the love and happiness that Mamaw and Papaw had for 70 years. The boys also helped us weed the flower bed, trim the bushes, and mow the front yard. They were such big helpers.

Sunday was Earth Day. This family celebrated by no TV and playing outside most of the day. We went over to Grandma Carol's house Sunday evening and made dirt cups. I thought that was pretty appropriate for Earth Day! Of course they weren't complete without the worms ;) The boys loved the worms.

Well, that about did it for our weekend. Now, I'm on the back porch watching Fletcher imitate Kale as he mows and Rooster is chasing both of them around with a football, throwing it in front of the lawnmower. What a big helper! Have a good week all.

Easter

Yesterday we had our pre-Easter celebration with Tonka, Abby, Ben, Sam and Gaga. We hunted eggs, played outside, ate yummy spaghetti, and dyed eggs.

It was a beautiful morning to be outside. Not too hot and not too cold! The rain was nice enough to hold off until we had found all of the eggs.
Roo snuggled in for a rest with Tonka.
Today we started our Easter off with a terrific church service and then headed home for a nap before family came over.
The boys had a visit from the Easter bunny and loved digging into their baskets. Fletch picked out a choo basket which was filled with Thomas the train things, and Roo chose an Elmo basket. The Easter bunny was SO thoughtful and got the men a new Blue's Clues dvd! Thank you E. Bunny!!!

When Lolly, Pop, Jake, Carrie, Kris, Mamie, Ne-Ne, and Ron came over we played outside some more. The duo got bubble lawnmowers and a new tee ball set.
Then the boy-os hunted for eggs.
Everyone had a great time soaking up the sun and running around the backyard. Kale grilled delicious burgers while the boys had car races down the hill. The truck won every time!
It was a great second Easter for the men. I am so thankful for my little family. God is so good. Now they are vegging out on the couch watching Blue. Perfect ending to an exciting day!

We call this the "Blue's Clues Trance" :)
